What is Vitiligo?
Vitiligo is one of the most common hypopigmentation disorders characterized by progressive loss of melanocytes. The disease is seen at an average of 0.5-1% of the world population. Vitiligo affects all genders, all races and children equally.
Vitiligo is clinically manifested by the gradual decrease in skin color (acromic macules), especially in the face, arms-legs and genital area. This situation causes a negative aesthetic appearance in humans and affects people’s self-confidence. It is also considered as a multifactorial disease in which genetic, autoimmune and neurogenic (nerve-derived) elements play a role. Pigmenting Gel is a special formula created for sensitive areas such as: eyes, mouth and genitals etc.
What Is Pigmenting Gel Used For?
The pigment enhancer “Pigmenting Gel” is used in sensitive areas (around eyes, around lips and genital area) for the treatment of:
• Skin depigmentation caused by any kind of burn.
The gel contains a substance that increases melanocytes and melanin and stimulates tyrosinase enzyme activity. In addition, the calcium in it actively supports the pigmentation process of the skin by stimulating the secretion effect of melanocytes.
The skin color obtained during the treatment process can become the same with the patient’s normal skin.
Its Effect on Vitiligo
The results of the study conducted with vitiligo patients who applied the gel to the depigmented areas of the skin as prescribed were as follows:
• Total Repigmentation: The disappearance of all depigmented areas.
• Significant Repigmentation: 75-99% repigmentation of the regions.
• Partial Repigmentation: Less than 75% repigmentation of the regions.
• No repigmentation: No effect.
• New Lesions: Increased depigmented areas.
It should be applied twice a day to areas with loss of skin color. Do not interact with sunlight or infrared light.
There are no side reactions.
